Dear Parents and Caregivers
As you may have seen and heard, New Zealand is moving to red setting phase 3 of our covid response tonight.
What this means for our BMPS learners?
All tamariki who are currently isolating due to a case connected to BMPS and who are well/have no covid symptoms, can return to school on Monday 28 February. There will be no online learning if you choose to keep your child at home, as our staff will be at school teaching.
If you have a child who is a positive case
Your child will isolate for 10 days and must follow all Ministry of Health guidelines regarding testing. Your child will be able to return to school on day 11 if they have had a day 8 negative test result and are well. Please inform the school of the negative test result/clearance from MoH to return to school:
office@bmps.school.nz
Your child is a close contact of a positive case in your household
Your child will isolate with you until your 10 day isolation period ends. You will follow Ministry of Health guidelines. Your child will be able to return to school on day 11 if they are well.
What happens if there is a positive case in my child’s class?
The child and their household will isolate. Class members will no longer be considered as close contacts and can continue to attend school.
rPlease remember to contact us if you require any support or have questions.
We thank you for your on-going support of BMPS.
