Mainfreight Scholarships
On the 12th of March 2013 Bairds Mainfreight Primary School celebrated its 20 year partnership with Mainfreight.
This was the highlight of the year.
During the celebration assembly Kevin Drinkwater, CIO of Mainfreight, made a very special announcement about a new initiative called Mainfreight Scholarships.
From 2013 onwards Mainfreight will award scholarships to up to five secondary school students each year. Mainfreight will also award scholarhips for up to three tertiary students as well.
This means that in five years time up to twenty five secondary and nine tertiary students who attended Bairds Mainfreight Primary School could be being supported by the scholarships.
The Purpose
The purpose of the scholarships is to enable Bairds Mainfreight Primary School ex-pupils to stay at college or go on to university when this might not be possible without additional support.
Scholarships Usage:
The Mainfreight Scholarships can be used to pay for school fees, or uniforms or other related course costs. No money will be paid directly to the scholarship winners but will be paid directly to the college or tertiary institution on their behalf.
The Application Process:
If you are a Bairds Mainfreight Primary School ex-pupil who attended for at least three years you will be eligible to apply for a scholarship.
