Attendance
It is vital that if your tamariki are well that they are at school. We have too many students who are regularly missing school. We currently have our EWiS workers and NZ Police making visits to homes of tamariki who are not attending school regularly. Please help your child to be at school every day, so that they can make the most of the fantastic learning happening in their class.
Hero
You can access newsletters, your child’s report and other important information on the HERO app. If you have any issues, please contact the office and we will help you.
Lunches and Gum
Thank you to all of our whānau who sent their tamariki to school each day with a bottle of water and healthy snacks. BMPS has a Healthy Food Policy which means that flavoured drinks, lollies, etc are not allowed at BMPS. Please ensure that your child only brings healthy kai to school. All other kai will be sent home.
We have had a number of tamariki chewing gum at school. Please ensure that for the health and safety of your child and so that it doesn’t end up on our brand new turf, that your child does not bring gum to school.

Dogs
Recently, we have had a problem with dogs entering our school, making our tamariki and staff feel unsafe. If you have a dog, please ensure that it is kept on your property and does not come to school with your child. In a recent survey, our tamariki highlighted dogs as the thing that makes them feel unsafe when walking to school and within the school grounds.
Jewellery
For the safety of our tamariki, we ask that our uniform rules are followed. Stud earrings and one piece of cultural jewellery is allowed. No hoop earrings, rings, bracelets, etc are permitted. BMPS uniform rules:
